La Toya Howse
Registered Social Worker, Play Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
As a trauma-informed clinician, I specialise in supporting individuals and families impacted by early childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and PTSD. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of attachment history and relational dynamics, ensuring that each therapeutic approach thoughtfully fits the client’s unique story and lived experience.
I am especially skilled in working with children who have experienced trauma. Through therapeutic play, I create a safe, engaging, and developmentally attuned space where children can express implicit emotions, process difficult experiences, and build resilience in ways that feel natural to them.
In addition to my work with children, I am equally passionate about supporting adults and couples. I help individuals understand how early attachment patterns and trauma responses show up in present-day relationships, self-concept, and emotional regulation. With couples, I focus on strengthening connection, rebuilding trust, and fostering secure attachment through compassion, insight, and practical relational tools.
