Bosook Kang
M. DIV., Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Bosook Kang, M.Div., R.P.(Q.), is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate the effects of childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and long-standing patterns that leave people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and others. Drawing on an integrative, trauma-informed approach, Bosook weaves together Parts Work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems to create care that is tailored, evidence-based, and deeply attuned to each person's unique story. For couples, she draws on EFT, the Gottman Method, and Hope-Focused Therapy to help partners break negative cycles and build more secure, meaningful connection. What sets Bosook apart is her rare gift for discernment in inner healing work; a sensitivity that allows her to meet clients at the deeper layers of their experience, gently helping them make sense of what has been carried, often for a very long time.
Bosook holds a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University and warmly welcomes clients who wish to integrate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process, inviting God into the work in ways that feel natural, meaningful, and supportive rather than prescribed. As a former Marine Engineer Officer, global mission worker, and immigrant to Canada with over thirteen years of cross-cultural experience across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas, she brings an extraordinary depth of cultural humility, hard-won wisdom, and genuine compassion for the complexity of the human experience. Bosook's care is person-centered, strength-based, and culturally responsive, and her clients consistently experience her as a therapist who not only understands where they have been, but who walks with them, at their own pace, toward wholeness.
